Barcelona Airport - Terminal T1
The date of the public opening of the new terminal T1 was on 17 June 2009. Its structure has an area of 544,066 square metres and has a parking apron for aircraft of 600,000 m2.
The terminal is divided into four levels. Level 3 corresponds to the outside of the main facade. The T1 has two separate vials Arrivals and Departures. The Departures area is at level 3 and Arrivals at level 0.
Its facilities include:
- 144 check-in counters
- 50 fingers
- 15 luggage carousel
- 12.000 parking spaces

Getting to and from the airport. Private and public transport
To get to the terminal T1 you can go by car, by taxi, by bus Aerobus A1, L77, L99, PR1, 46 and N17 and from other provinces, or from out of the metropolitan area, we can get the airport through the intercity buses and coaches.
People also arrive to the airport by train using the line R2 Nord, but the station is located in the terminal T2, see information below.

Shuttle bus T1-T2 Bus Transit
Bus Transit is the free shuttle service that connects the terminals T1 and T2. There are two stops at terminal T1, one on the 3rd floor (P3), Departures area, and at the ground floor (P0) Arrivals area.
This shuttle has increased the frequency of step coinciding with the summer season. The tour lasts about 10 minutes.
Nocturne: 00.00 am to 05.00 am every 20 minutes.
Early: 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. every 7 minutes.
Daytime: 8:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. every 4 minutes.
Rest: 20.00 pm a 00.00 am every 7 minutes.
Renfe Rodalies train station to terminal T2
To go from Renfe Rodalies train station to T2 building, passengers must walk across the covered walkway that connects the station with the terminal.

Level 0. Intermodal Lobby
It is the arrivals area. It has an intermodal hall with 14 check-in desks and some offices for travel agencies. Are here also the left luggage offices, the lost & found office and several points of information for people with reduced mobility and information for the VIP parking area.

Level 3. Departures
Departures floor. Here are the billing counters 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700.
We may also purchase tickets for the following airline companies: Aegean Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Egyptair, LOT Polish, Lufthansa, Servis Air, Swiss International Airlines, TAP Portugal, Turkish Airlines and U.S. Airways. There are a lot of restaurants, shops and a pharmacy near the Lobby General Departures
Level 1. Corridor Barcelona-Madrid departures
The corridor Barcelona-Madrid, also called Air Corridor, Shuttle Service or puente aéreo is located on level 1, in the north dock area.
Getting to the departure area of the Barcelona-Madrid Air Shuttle
If arriving by taxi or escorted the transport will leave the passenger at level 3 of the terminal. Go down to level 1 by stairs or elevator.
If the passengers arrive at their particular transport may choose to use the public parking spaces located in the outdoor parking area, or use the parking building just outside the terminal. In that case, then should go to level 2, where is located the walkway that links the two buildings and down to level 1. From the outside public parking is direct access.
If passengers are traveling on public transportation will arrive to level 3, so must then descend to the level 1.
At every level there are indications, signs and information boards. Following the directions CORRIDOR BARCELONA - MADRID reach check-in desks and can get your boarding pass.
Check-in
Level 1. Check-in and boarding
There are three boarding areas on this floor: A area, B area and C area.
Zones A and C are located in the Dique Norte (north dock) and boarding areas include Corridor Barcelona-Madrid and shipping EU - EU Schengen and Non-EU EU Non-Schengen.
The zone B is located at Dique Longitudinal (longitudinal dock), and is the area for EU Schengen boarding and debarkation.
Flightcare luggage companies, Swissport, Newco Groundforce and have their offices at this level.
Level 3. Check-in and boarding
You should go to boarding areas D and E are in the Dique Sur (south dock) and cover the UE Schengen and Regional shipments. A filter security and passport control before arriving at the boarding areas D and E. There is two Aena information desks and one for disabled travellers.
Shopping and Leisure
la Plaza Hall
Level 1. La Plaza and Sky Center
It is the point of waiting for companions. It is also the junction point in the public parking outside the hall and around the intermodal terminal building. It has a large shopping area and restaurant called the Sky Center, for the general public. All shops and restaurants allow last minute shopping and take souvenirs of all kinds. Some are in public access areas reserved for passengers, see the facility for more information.

Intervention Control Arms and Guardia Civil Police
Intervention Control Arms is in the office of the Guardia Civil, near the autonomous police offices (Mossos d'Esquadra) and National Police.
Customs, VIP Lounges and Medical Services
Customs services are the level 2, along with 3 passport checkpoints, two lounges (EU and non EU) and an office of medical services.
