Barcelona Airport - Terminal T1

The date of the public opening of the new terminal T1 was on 17 June 2009. Its structure has an area of 544,066 square metres and has a parking apron for aircraft of 600,000 square metres.

Of the four levels comprising the terminal T1, the level 3 corresponds to the outside of the main facade.
T1 has two roadways separating the arrival and departure flows. The departures roadway is on level 3 and the arrivals roadway is on level 0.

  • 12.000 parking spaces

Arrivals and Departures

To get to the terminal T1 you can go by train, by taxi or by bus Aerobus A1, L77, L99, PR1, 46, 105 and N17.

From other provinces or from outside the metropolitan area, arrived at the airport thanks to intercity buses and coaches.

 

Transport between terminals

Shuttle T1-T2

From the terminal T2 to terminal T1 we will move through the shuttle bus T1-T2. With a step frequency of about 6 or 7 minutes it took to arrive about 10 minutes. This bus connects the T2 (with a stop at the intermodal building) with the road trips (3rd floor) and the vial of arrivals (floor 0) of the T1.

Coinciding with the arrival of trains (every 30 minutes) bus connects the train station, the T2 with the vial of outputs (level 3) and the vial of arrivals (floor 0) of the T1.The journey takes 10 minutes.

Level 0. Intermodal Lobby

It is the arrivals area. It has an intermodal hall with 14 check-in desks and some offices for travel agencies. Are here also the left luggage offices, the lost & found office and several points of information for people with reduced mobility and information for the VIP parking area.

Level 1. La Plaza and Sky Center

It is the point of waiting for companions. It is also the junction point in the public parking outside the hall and around the intermodal terminal building. It has a large shopping area and restaurant, the Sky Center, for the general public.

Level 1. Corridor Barcelona-Madrid departures

The corridor Barcelona-Madrid, also called Air Corridor, Shuttle Service or puente aéreo is located on level 1, in the north dock area.

If arriving by taxi or escorted the passenger transport will leave at level 3 of the terminal. He must then go down to level 1 by stairs or elevator.

If the passenger arrives at their particular transport may choose to use the public parking spaces located in the outdoor parking area, or use the parking building just outside the terminal. In that case, then should go to level 2, where is located the walkway that links the two buildings and down to level 1. From the outside public parking is direct access.

If passengers are traveling on public transportation by public buses or using the shuttle bus that brings you from the train station terminal T2, get to level 3, which must then descend to the level 1.

At every level there are indications, signs and information boards. Following the directions CORRIDOR BARCELONA - MADRID reach check-in desks and can get your boarding pass.

Level 1. Check-in and boarding

There are three boarding areas on this floor: A area, B area and C area.

Zones A and C are located in the north dock and boarding areas include Corridor Barcelona-Madrid and shipping EU - EU Schengen and Non-EU EU Non-Schengen.
Zone B, located on longitudinal dock, holds the EU Schengen boarding and debarkation.

Flightcare luggage companies, Swissport, Newco Groundforce and have their offices at this level.

Level 2.

Here are the customs service and three passport controls. Two lounges (EU and non EU) and a medical service.

Level 3. Departures

Departures floor. Here are the billing counters 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700.

We may also purchase tickets for the following airline companies: Aegean Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Egyptair, LOT Polish, Lufthansa, Servis Air, Spanair, Swiss International Airlines, TAP Portugal, Turkish Airlines and U.S. Airways. There are a lot of restaurants, shops and a pharmacy near the Lobby General-out.

Level 3. Check-in and boarding

You should go to boarding areas D and E are in the south dock and cover the UE Schengen and Regional shipments. A filter security and passport control before arriving at the boarding areas D and E. Two Aena information desks and one for disabled travellers.

Intervention Control Arms is in the office of the Guardia Civil, near the autonomous police offices (Mossos d'Esquadra) and National Police.
